What does it mean when I get a pop-up that says "Open file error!" and includes a number such as 008 or 003. I have seen these in the past but they have just retured to annoy me.
It means you don't have the program/software to open that/those files.
Thanks, GS. I will now have to think on what I am opening when I see that error message. Stay tuned.
Found the culprit to be Typing Assistant. Found string "open file error!" via string search in a TA .ini file.
TA FAQ suggested using the portable version.
Now ... SumitSoft (TypingAssistant) folks say to uninstall TA and reinstall "Portable version".
I cannot find TA in the Windows Control Panel Programs list nor in Revo. How to uninstall, short of deleting every swinging d*mn TA file I can find?
Any help here??
Look in your start menu, programs, you should find it there, uninstall also should be found there after expanding folder?
portabel version and you need to install it? how is this?
@vista ... not there either, Mike ???
@scorpio no capisci, please clarify your post. Maybe read the entire post.
Are you saying you can't find TA or you can't find Sumitsoft ?
You may have to re-install the current version in order get all the parts you need to uninstall it normally. Then uninstall it.
@guilty True Cannot find in START nor Revo nor Win Control Panel
@ Xhi Will do ... didn't think of that.
