Not sure what the title should say, but here is the problem. A friend is having a problem (no really, it's a friend). Anyway, when he is in an application and goes up to File/Open, within the Open File dialog box he types the first letter of a file. It used to bring up a list of all the files that started with that letter of that specific file type. He could then just click the name of the file to pop it in there. Instead, what is happening now is that he has to type the whole name of the file or browse for it. I thought it was the AutoComplete feature, but I turned that on/off several times and it still doesn't work. However, when I turn it off/on on my computer it still fills in the file names for me. So that leads me to believe it is something other than AutoComplete. It is REALLY driving me crazy and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
