Hello,
If I am posting this in the wrong section, please let me know.

the on/off button on the front of my tempest EVO case is not working. It is stuck pushed in and can not turn on or off. How can I go about repairing this button. I can do it myself but not 100% on how to get access to the button. It is not the connector to the MB it is the actual button not working.

Any questions please let me know. Any info you can give me please let me know.

Take care and thanks.

You can always cut the wires from the button, strip them and touch them briefly together to start the machine.

To fix Case Button, need to contact below.

It's not pretty, but you can drill a hole in the case and put in a simple switch that you can get at a local Hardware store and attach the power leads to it. I have fixed some older computers this way.

Ok I found the problem..the switch itself is fine...but the little holder that hold the little plastic leads broke..so when i push the on button..the plastic leads would slip out of the holder..I tried to fix and I now have two wires sticking out of my machine...going for the switch tomorrow. I touched the wires and the machine boots up. So that is fine.

Nice expensive machine with wires sticking out the front...Now that is Brooklyn

Thank everyone for the help.

This is why I prefer cases and enclosures which one can purchase Spare Parts for.

You sure you didn't hotwire and steal it? :)

So what would be the best replacement switch. I am going to leave the wires out then attach to a switch and then attach to side of case...any suggestions?

Thanks and I could not hot wire it..if I did it would be in orbit right now...

Switch, Power, ATX Style, Push Button

However your Case is different so you need to Contact Manufacturer as I posted before.

From what you have said, sounds like you only need a momentary switch.

Thanks for the help...first let me say NZXt support is horrible. I sent a trouble ticket to them and still have not hear anything back.

I want a switch that I don't have to rewire. I have the wires sticking out now I just want a switch that I can connect them too. Will do some looking.

Thanks again.
