i have a really old gateway laptop that i bought really cheap. the old owner had a virus and wiped everything off the computer and only reinstalled microsoft xp. the hard drive is only 2 gigabytes. XP takes up too much room. i would like to delete it and install 98 instead but i am not sure how to do this. di i uninstall xp first? or do i install 98 first? HELP!!

ttaylor1970,
Am assuming the old Laptop has a Floppy Drive.
Make a Boot Disk and Format the HD.

Install Win98 from CD.
Install Machine Drives from Manufacturer's CD or Floppies.
Go to MS and search for Win98 update info.
Post Back if my assumption is incorrect.

Rick P.
