I did all the shrinking and such and it gives me the there are no divices found make sure they are powered correctly press F3 to exit error. Ok then i was not ready to give up so i read some of the fourms and saw something about installing drivers manualy. so i pressed F6 in the setup and it failed, said something about mass storage devices. i have a toshiba satellite P205 any ideas?

Thanks, Hayes

The problem is that windows XP doesn't have the drivers for your laptop. If your laptop doesn't have a floppy drive, you'll have to use nlite ( http://www.nliteos.com/ ) to create a bootable xp cd that includes the drivers as well.

How do i go about doing that? Kinda a rook at this stuff. Do i just rip the xp cd onto my desk top? or can i just put the drivers on a cd and put them on my lap top?

You'll need to download and install the nlite software, and then use that to create a new installation cd, remembering to add the new drivers in the nlite configuration (there's a button for it)

It's not exactly rookie stuff, though, but there is a guide on the site:
