I bought a second hand PC, every time I start word or excel the previous owners name comes up. I want to change his name to mine. Thoughts?

Try opening Tools> Options> User Information. It may let you change from there.

I tried that, it allowed me to put my name in but that's all. After I saved my name and reopened word, my name showed up with his firm's name underneath (which is not visable in the user info place to change). Thoughts?

There could very well be a registry hack, I just can't seem to find it.
