Hi,

My partner has a sony vaio (bought for him as a present) which we've brought with us to Thailand where we're going to be based for the next year. Since getting here the laptop has undergone a dreadful transformation...slow, sluggish, seizing, freezing...I've tried everything and am at my whits end...the last recourse is to set it back to factory settings along with software that was preinstalled that should be okay...if it wasn't for Office 2003 pro edition.

This was bought a few months after the laptop. Unfortunately we've left all the computer discs in storage.

We have the PID (product id no). Is there anyway of getting replacement copies of the software, or making a backup of the applications to reinstall once I've set the laptop back to it's factory settings?

Would really appreciate some help as I've scoured the MS Office websites for any info and keep coming up blanks. No mean feat when the internet connection is as dodgy as it can be over here!!

Thanks for any advice.
