My daughter & I share a pc [Dell 520 Vista Home Basic] Under her login the numeric keypad doesn't work [light is on] But under mineit's fine. Would the fact I'm administrator & she's just a user affect this? Thanks

Create a new User, and see if it works in that account.

Thanks LH, also got this from Microsoft answers:
To work around this behavior, use one of the following methods:
Specify that the NUM LOCK key must be off for the numeric keypad to function as MouseKeys. To do this, follow the appropriate steps.

Windows Vista
Click Start
Collapse this imageExpand this image

.
In the Start Search box, type Ease of Access.
Click Make the mouse easier to use.
Click Set up Mouse Keys.
Under Other Settings, click Off next to Use MouseKeys when NumLock is.
Click Save

Which seems to have cleared it up. Have a good day. Sussex is wet & cold this morning! Cheers
