I've really got a good one for you this time!

In some things it's the browser for sure, the rest I'm just down right confused on!
It started out with my email on Goole Chrome. My server had an issue and than
I had an option up and disapear. That option was there on IE and Firefox so, I
spoke to the the server and they told me to start using Firefox. I did, now there are
times when the computer just freezes up and no matter what I click on, I get no
response. Do you think I have computer problems?? Think loooong and HARD before
answering that qusetion!! I can't always get it to respond when I click on something.
I've trying rebooting, disconnecting and reconnecting my router. If you've got any thoughts
about the matter, please let me know in MAJOR LAYMAN TERMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Robin, what is the computer make, model, and spec's. Router too.

Fully describe your problem please. Some info you gave makes no sense?

You were using Google Chrome to access your e-mail, ok, but what SERVER? You e-mail server from your ISP? What OPTION were you talking about?

I assume the SERVER is your ISP? However that doesn't make sense with the sentence above? So your ISP basically told you not to use Chrome to get your e-mail? You already had Firefox and it worked?

Since you already had Firefox installed, how would this be related? What are you doing when it freezes?

Of course you do, freezes happen for a reason.

This implies you can get it to respond. Tell us what you are doing when it you can't make it respond. It also tells us that probably one specific event causes this and it is repeatable. Also I'd guess it is internet related? By "disconnecting and reconnecting my router" do you mean the cable to the computer or the power cord to the router?

Clear these questions up and we should be able to help you.

I'm not to bright when it comes to computers and never claimed I was.

Will have you the information ASAP, working on the Spec's now.

You can use some repository on the web like http://www.imageshack.us/, create an account, upload the file, and then when you view it there, you'll see a link for a URL to it that you can post here via the LINK button.

We don't need everything though, CPU type and speed, amount of RAM, Disk model, and computer make and model would be enough.

With a better explanation of the problem though that info might not even be necessary.

No h/w spec's. What browser, what URL? Did it work up to that point?

No details, no help. I can't see what you see or know what you've done.

Do you mean the mouse or the keyboard? What web site are you on? When it doesn't work in a browser, does it work on the desktop or windows app?

What is the speed of your internet connection. Dialup, FIOS, etc...

Your computer should be fast enough and have enough RAM not to have problems. Is this a standard DELL mouse or did you add one? What Dell model is this?

I've had them for years and no problem tell Verizon had the following issue;

Dear Valued Verizon Customer,

On Monday morning, October 1, 2012, Verizon experienced a service disruption that affected your email account. You now are able to send and receive email normally and will continue to have access to your calendar and address book. However, until the issue is resolved, it will not be possible to see any email sent or received along with any personal folders that you created prior to this service interruption. We’re diligently working to recover any of your email and folders that cannot be seen at this time.

If you regularly use a POP email client such as Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo or Mac Mail you will not notice any adverse impact outside of the temporary inability earlier today to connect to your servers.

While Verizon is working to resolve the issue over the next several days, you can view updates as new information is available on verizon.com/outage.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this disruption has caused.

Everything worked just fine up till the 1st of this month when Verizon had experienced a service disruption

that affected your email account. I'm having a hard enough time trying to make Verizon my home page.

I've been able to do it in the pass, why the problem now?????????????? Whoooooooooooo Knows.

I 'NEVER' had any of these problems until Verizon experienced a service disruption.
That's when all Hell broke loose. Verizon DSL is not only my type of connection but,
Verizon is also my Phone company. I was using Google Chrome when they had the
disruption and I noticed a difference in my email. I spoke with a Verizon Tech, who
told me to use Mozilla Firefox (which I already had) and I also already had Internet
Explorer on my desktop, so when I got rid of Google Chrome, I had the other two to use,
which hasn't worked out so far. How would I do a Complete Clean Install without toasting
my computer for good?

Please advise.
