I have the Antec EarthWatts EA-650 GREEN 650W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply for my current rig. Dissatisfied with the on-board audio for my motherboard (ASUS P8H61-M LX (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 (UEFI Bios)), I decided to try putting in the sound card from my previous rig; the sound card being an ASUS Xonar DX 7.1, now that proper drivers for Windows 7 64-bit are finally available.

A popup immediately appears, "ASUS Xonar DX will NOT work (the word NOT in really humongous letters) without additional power supply." I look at the instruction sheet for the Antec PSU and I only find a 3-pin connector. The power supply plug on the sound card has 4 pins.

Are the card and PSU completely incompatible? Or will the 3-pin connector work? If yes, will it require some kind of 'in-between' adapter?

Your PSU already has a 4 Pin Floppy Connector.

If you need another, then purchase
