Was prompted to update norton so........... i did , but now it took the shortcut off my desktop :(. having a brain fart as how to get the shortcut/icon back to desktop. Any idea's

On windows seven now but, I think you just go to programs right click Norton's send to desktop.

Click start orb, all programs, find Norton, right click it and create a shortcut on the desktop.
OR
Browse to C:\Program files\Norton folder , right click norton.exe and create a shortcut on desktop.

click on the start orb and open the Norton folder > find the .exe and rt click on it. You will see an option of "send to desktop as a shortcut" select this one and your shortcut will be on your desktop again.

hmmmmm tried that takes me to a bunch of folders looking to get the icom to initalize norton .(btw vista hp here)

Open windows Explorer then go to your C:\Program files\Norton folder, right click norton.exe and select copy then click on your desktop and rt click again and paste the shortcut.
