No wireless network found in range

We have 2 lap tops and since yesterday I have no wireless networks found in range- - I have tried the troubleshooting but nothing! . It's probably something on my system (that I am totally clueless with) I've also looked at enable/disable stuff, but I'm afraid it's all a little over my head!

I would very appreciate any kind of assistance with this . . . . I'm only able to to access HTG because my partner is at work & I am using his LT!!

If it is on a laptop ,did you check it he wireless switch is turned to on???
