No such thing as a stupid question? XP MS Outlook 6

You may change your mind after reading this! I get emails (don't know what differenciates the emails from others) and when I highlight to read in bottom screen before opening, my Windows Installer pops up and tells me that it wants to install MS 2000 and then configures then asks me to put in the disc! I cancel and it "unconfigures" and goes away. This happens all of the time!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Outlook Express 6 wants to use Windows 2000 to view certain emails...maybe one's with certain attachments? Did you install XP on top of your copy of 2000?

I have no idea, I did not set it up and I am not IT by any means. Just a lowly software user. No way to find out either. So. I guess I am just stuck with it. Thank you for trying to help me.
