No signal on monitor

Hi gang,had a problem with my Compaq xp machine.Had a floating no signal on the monitor,and the keyboard lights were out as well as the optic mouse.I unplugged everything and everything is good,any thoughts?

Did you check to see if your motherboard is dead? With that many things suddenly not getting any power all at the same time....

Hi Budohorseman,thank you for your response,my machine is ok now.Just wondering what caused the problem.Maybe a computer fart,lol.
