Yes !! After 16 hours of negotiations with a federal mediator, the NHL and Players' Association have reached a tentative deal to end the 113 day lockout.

But the league's 30 owners and around 740 players still have to vote on the deal.

What do you think Scott , NHL Games by the 26th ??? my guess., Yours ?

Edit:: now they say between the 15th and 19th.

Ian, I'm guessing either the 15h (50 games)or 19th (48). Hoping that Center Ice is gratis. Bettman can kiss my ass in Macy's window.
See you in June :)

hate to be the bearer of bad news but ....

"Economy forces continued lockout due to shortage of pucks, mouthpieces, and cups. Many will be left wondering if this will ever end after a shocking announcement of the continued lockout. ....
donations of used athletic supporters, socks, mouth pieces, etc.. have been pouring in to help replenish the stock of supplies and gear in hopes of rearending the lockout ..."
association of hockey and tennis federation of national lockout status bureaus united

this is not fair! this is crazy man!

I agree with your " Hallelujah ! " Scott

But I must take some minor issue with the renaming of the Topic.!!!!!

I do think that such a change of name takes away from the fact that
this topic was started because there was no hockey and you and I are
the only reason this has become a five page topic.

I do think though that if any one else would like to start a Hockey Again Thread I
will fully support it and Contribute.

That said Please change it back to the original name.

No problem Scott

I just felt the integrity of the thread was lost with a name change.

I wish you and your Rangers all the best in this short 95ish season and
congrats to your Juniors.

edit: for those that do not know the Rangers were Stanleys Champs in 94
then there was Bettmans first work stoppage and the above mentioned
Rangers never got on track, once the half season began.

In fact needing one win on the second last day of 95 just to make the playoffs
failed to do so, and probably led the way for the Devils Cup Win!!!

Sorry for that year Scott.
