No audio hardware detected by win xp on compaq laptop

Recently i formatted my laptop to enable dual-boot of vista n xp on my compaq presario laptop using d article on dis website.but ever since,win xp has nt been abl 2 detect d sound hardware.i'm using a conexant HD audio 2.1 on board.i tried installing d drivers bt it says it cudn't detect the hardware 4 d driver.

I'm guessing that you'll have to check with the manufacturer to make sure you have the right drivers installed... most likely it's just the wrong drivers.
