Hey everyone,

I'm following the tutorial here, http://www.howtogeek.com/12028.....t-indexer/ but when I get to step 2 of the newznab setup, I get the errors "unable to connect to database" and "unable to select database". The screenshot in the article even shows the same errors, but they're not addressed by the author. I'm pretty crummy at server admin, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing or how I can fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Make sure you have set the username as "root" not the username that you use in Linux.

Also make sure that you are using the password you set for mySQL and not your user password, or your root password.
