M$ explanation for why it killed Pinball is pure BS! I copied and pasted it to my Win 7 installation and it works just fine.

@ LF,

Microsoft didn't write the code for pinball it was third party according to : http://blogs.msdn.com/b/oldnew.....78851.aspx

Doesn't matter who wrote the code. In the article, M$ claimed it wouldn't work correctly with Win 7 which just isn't true. In fact, there was an article here on how to get XP games back on Win 7.

"Microsoft Confirms Buggy Patch Tuesday, Promises Fix"

I'm one of those people who usually waits a couple of weeks before installing the "Patch Tuesday" updates - and still have yet to do so for the ones released earlier this month.

After reading the above article, I checked my available updates and discovered that the offending update - KB2753842 - is now unchecked by default, so if you have not already installed your December updates, you may notice that as well and take heed to leave it as is.
