Ok, I know I have another post but once again I need your guys's help.

I have an HP Pavilion Slimline s3242x. Its a slimline which is the bad part. Theres this new game out called Age of Conan. I want to play that but when I do a check on how well i'll run the game I fail on minimum because my video card is 128 MB and minimum is a 256.

So my problem is I need either a 256MB or 512MB graphics card that will fit into my computer ( A Slimline)

Any help or suggestions? I'll happily give you any more information you need. Just ask :).

What you'll want to do is search for low-profile cards on newegg... pick the one you want and then check the detailed specs to see if it includes exact dimensions... then check inside your computer to see if you will have space for it. Note that some of the cards are very wide or very long if not tall... so make sure there's enough space in the other directions as well.

Also make sure your PC supports the slot type... PCI/E 16x is pretty common, so you should be fine with that, but check anyway.

It would be best to open up the computer, so you can see how much room there is for the card... perhaps even measure it so you can compare that against the specs for the video cards.

Thankfully NewEgg does have a good return policy, so if you got one that didn't fit you could return it.

That site has all the specifications of my computer except that i upgraded my computer to 2 GB ram. So can you tell me what slot it has open for the new Video card? Like whats it called?

According to the specs:

PCI Express x16 One (One available)

You should make sure that it's really available, of course, by opening it up.

You'll likely have to follow the manufacturer's link to their site to see dimensions and specs like that.

That doesn't look like it's a slim card... I think it's a regular one.

The first newegg link I put in the post above was for only the slim size cards: http://www.newegg.com/Product/.....rchInDesc=

Should be able to find one on that list that would fit.

Yeah I looked at all off them there and it looks like it would be a dumb idea to get any of those.. I might as well just wait til the end of summer and get a custom case and make my own computer :).
