New to ubuntu help!!

Hey i just downloaded ubunttu and trying it out. Im Fairly decent on windows and wanting to improve my geek skills
Now one question i have is how do you get the beryl cube is that a different version of linux os? And also is there any
threads or sites already posted on operating ubuntu for begginers that you guys would recommend? This is very interesting
any help is awsome thanx!

hey ...

just like jack ... said ... ubuntu 's own site is good for help , u can also do googleing for ur problems with ubuntu .. and ... more , beryl cube is not a OS .. its just a software for win/linux .... it makes ur desktop like a cube ...

The cube is actually installed with Ubuntu. You just have to install the Compiz Settings manager.

if you go to add/remove you can add compiz, it will get the desktop cube working. install it then go to system>preferences>advanced desktop effects setings. then click on the boxes, but i've found some effects over ride others
