List of parts I plan on getting

Mobo - Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 AMD 970
CPU - AMD FX-4100 3.6 ghz 4core
RAM - Corsair vengeance 8 gig 1866mhz non-ecc ( 2 modules)
PSU - OCZ 750w modular
Cooling - Corsair H55 liquid cooling
Storage - Seagate 1tb 7200rpm, 64mb

My problem is, I plan on running 1 monitor, 1680x 1050. So im not sure what graphics card would be best for me, im reading that 2gb doesnt matter if im running only 1 monitor im thinking of getting a - XFX HD-687A-ZHFC Radeon HD 6870 1-gb - edition. nice specs but not sure if ill be able to play games an ultra settings in the future( I don't play BF3, but i do plan on getting crysis1/2) and no, i don't plan on getting a Sli/crossfire set-up

Down the road when i get more money saved up I want the Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 and the AMD fx 6200. paired with a total of 16gb of ram, But that won't be untill a year from now. I'm not sure if these parts will gain me anymore performance, or at least that i will notice. although it would be nice to have a back up cpu/mobo just in case.

My build budget is 950$ CAD, at a push. So any help would nice and any input is appreciated.
