From Review
QUOTE:
"If you are looking for a notebook for surfing, writing, watching movies and listening to music, you are well advised with the Asus X53E in many aspects. However, if you primarily want to play games or run power applications, you should look around for a stronger device."

First what O/S are you running?
Have you checked msconfig to see what is starting up at bootup?
Check what processes are running, you may not need everything running.
Have you uninstalled all the junk demo applications?
What A/V and firewall are you using?

@ germ-x

windows 7, 64 bit if the what you mean by O/S
i did turn stuff off in start up that helped

see this is what i dont understand what needs to run and what dont.this is what i would like to learn

and if you could tell me how to get rid off the junk that would be helpfull.

A/V is norton 360,not to sure what to do or how to set up the firewall.

had the norton laying around it didt work well with my HP laptop win7 2g ram it was eating all the ram so i uninstalled it and used MSE

thanks for your suport

Have you uninstalled all the demo software that came installed on your system?
Go to the mfg website and update all drivers.
Have you checked your task manager to see what processes are running? You might be able to disable some that aren't needed.
