NEW HARD DRIVE?

Just replaced hard drive on y Acer 4820T. Trying to install all original software that came with computer out of box. Is there a way to get tthe files from the original hard drive?

Make an image of your system from the original drive and restore that image on the new drive. Then you have everything as it was.

Ya, the computer ships with a 320GB HD so I just assumed the component went bad.

May be OP will come back and tell us.

It's really appalling how many of our responses are for getting more information from the OPs.

They must think we can see their computers magically over time and distance. (LOL)

Don't sell yourself short whs. You never know who is going to have the same issue and read that post. Or if like me, I really like your video tutorials I have seen and have bookmarked them for reference. Like I said you never know who you are going to help so keep posting.
