Hello to all the How-To Geekers, I have been looking for some help and found this to be one of the most active, and informative forums so far.

I am building a new computer and the particular Motherboard I have has to SATA inputs and one IDE, I don't have a SATA drive so I'm using a cable to attach both the CD drive and the HDD into that one slot. However when I boot (nothing smoked thank God ;)) it gets to the screen and says it can't find a boot device, I can hear my HD spinning when I boot up but it's not detecting it or my CD drive. I think I might have to mess with jumpers but have no idea to do that, any assistance would be very much appreciated =).

cRunchdaR,
Please post the make and (EXACT) Model of the Mother Board.
A Link to Download the Manual would be even better.
Regards,
Rick P.

Hey cRunchdaR

I ran into a similar situation not too long ago... all I needed to do was go into the BIOS and "remind" it what I wanted to boot sequence to be. :)
