I have an EVGA 123-YW-E175 MB, got it all together using your How-to-Geek help with the 5 part walk through. Got through the BIOS Check and wanted to test it out with the Ultimate Boot CD. I am getting the following errors:

PXE-E61: Media test failure check cable
PXE-MOF Exiting NVIDA Boot Agent
DISK BOOT FAILURE

any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Mike

Now the error message is gone PXE........... Now it just says DISK BOOT FAILURE, Insert SYSTEM DISK etc.?
Should I try to load Vista onto this new build? Can the Ultimate Boot Disk just be bad?

I had the same thing go wrong on my new built but if you run your disk that came with your video card that should take care of it as far as your windows vista I did mine and it works ok but on start up it said it can not find my hard drive but then loads so you can try it and see will not hurt to load vista

Hey me again well fixed hard drive err go back in your bio's to Peripheral Configuration in there look for eSATA Port and disable it and that should take care of your hard drive and load your video card and load vista and you should be set hope it works for you later
