I'm planning on buying a new 2 TB internal Hard Disk Drive.
I'm planning on using the drive for storing HD movies.
What would you recommend?
Western Digital or Seagate?
if WD, then WD Blue, WD Green or WD Black?
and, is it true that some systems will not support a 2 TB drive? ( mine is an Asterope 3 motherboard)

Once you go Black, you wont come back
Most motherboards can handle 2tb but I'd check compatability on WD's website as well as Asterope's. I did the same thing you're doing and I had to call HP just to make sure I bought the right HD, I got the green version - regret it, should have gotten the much better black. Good luck. BTW Windows allows you to move your User folder over to the storage HD, so My Documents is not on the system or C:\ drive, its on the storage 2tb drive.
Thanks Lighthouse and JayDivider , but i was thinking of buying Seagate, cause i have a samsung and WD drive already, so was hoping to try a seagate one.
and also tell me if i can increase the allocation unit while formatting the drive because it will be used only for files gretaer than 500 MB, and to increase the speed.
