ok this has been a long journey getting the network set up between xp machines and win 7 but i am almost done just trying to get the printer set up. on the xp machine there is a HP office jet k80 installed as a network printer. win 7 sees the printer but can not locate a driver for it. when i plug the printer directly into win 7 computer, windows update installs the correct driver and the printer works fine but it is unable to locate a driver when trying to add this as a network printer instead of a local. so my questions is since i already have the correct driver installed as a local printer is there a way to map that driver to use it as the driver for the network printer instead of as a local printer.
