***Need system recovery HELP!!!!!!!!**vista

My computer was in the process of recovery from a previous restored point. During that process the computer locked up and rebooted in Start up Repair Mode. It searches for problems and displays cannot repair this computer automatically. I click on drop down arrow for more details. Root cause found: The operating system version is incompatible with Startup Repair.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

What version of Vista do you have.

Do you have the origanal OS disk? if you do, it will be easier to work from there...

I think its Vista Home Premium. I cant find the os disk.
