I have a self-built Linux box: Intel Core2Duo Processor 2.6+GHz, Asus P5K motherboard, 2 GB memory, 2 DVD RW drives, 1 floppy drive, running Ubuntu Linux 8.04 Hardy Heron. I recently wished to copy some small graphics files to a floppy to share with a friend, No matter what I did, I could not put them onto [or into] the floppy drive. Yes, ther was a properly formated 3.5" disk in the drive; in fact, Floppy Formatter worked just fine in formatting the new disk. I did not wish to use a whole CD or DVD just for 5 small graphics files. I finally had to resort to e-mailing the files as attachments, & advising my friend to save them te both his HDD & to a floppy, as back-up. Help!
