ok so basically to make a long story short my computer will not startup normally because thier are no restore points... so its making me go to startup repair and then it says attempting to fix hard disk error. Then after like 4 hours its still not done so if someone could help me.

i suggest if you have the reinstallation disc for vista, i would pop it in and go into bios and reinstall. If that doesnt work, im guessing you need a new hard drive.
