Folks get so many viruses.

Wonder if they ever check that all common ports are blocked on their router firewalls ????

Run this > Click Search > Click Delete > Reboot

If you want to save your bookmarks in case it knocks your Chrome profile out: Click button Top right > Bookmarks > Bookmark Manager > Organise > Export Bookmarks To HTML File. Use the Import HTML... option in the same place after you've used Adwcleaner if you need to.

I had the exact problem except I use Firefox. I tried Adwcleaner as StringJunky mentioned and it found it right away and removed it. Thank you so much for the info! This is the only site I could find that mentioned this specific problem, so glad I found this post.
