I have been using my Intel Pentium 4 for 4 years now, and it's almost dead. So I decide to build a new computer.
I want to build a machine that I can use for a long run, I play some games (but not so much), dont do photoshop or edit any other kind, but I use a lot of entertainment programs (almost at the same time) so I kinda need a fast and strong computer that can handle multi tasks at the same time.

And my plan is:
CPU: Core 2 Duo E8500
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-X48-DQ6
Video card: ASUS EN9500GT/DI/1G
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/.....6811144155
Power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/.....6817182030
Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/.....6820231201
DVD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/.....6827106332
Hard drives: http://www.newegg.com/Product/.....6822136284

Please give me some opinions on this!
Thanks!

Why buy superseded hardware like the E 8500 or the X48 DQ6?
Consider an i5-750 and the great MSI P55 board on special package at NEWEGG.
This way you will be completely up to date and you can o/clock faster than the E8500 speed.
You will of course need suitable RAM.GSkill is good
Your choice of PSU is a bit downmarket-prefer Corsair,Antec.
Great HDDs ,but instead of IxItb,buy twox640gb.,the second for your backup archives and videos, data etc .

See HERE re overclocking the i5 with the MSI board.

Thanks Mikisu. I think I'll go with your suggestion.
CPU & Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/.....mbo.245500
Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/.....6820231225
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/.....6817139005

For HDDs, it was my choice for my data storage, I'm gonna pick a cheaper and less storage drive for the OS.

Any feedback, please? I appreciate it!

CPU,Mobo and PSU excellent!

Video card a bit basic-check out this review of all HERE.
Probably OK for non gaming-but a bit more money will buy something better, probably the Radeon HD 4850

Memory great but cheaper good quality reviewed HERE

Case a matter of taste-probably more looks than substance-a conventional case, hopefully with adequate cooling and reasonable noise level.
Have a look at the Thermaltake v9 instead, HERE

Re HD good idea,as well as the 1tb-get a small W.D. for the OS-keep the OS partition small for better performance

You will need a better CPU fan if you are going to overclock -this Xigmatek is great HERE but check whether it will fit the mobo.

Good luck!

Mikisu,
I dont play games too much (just some Warcraft or sth like that) so I just go with an that ASUS video card.
I like Corsair too but I think they're about the same (actually I just check on Newegg and it's a little bit more expansive than the SKill).
I don't overclock but I will look into more fans for my system if I do it someday! :D

Thanks so much! Appreciate it!

P.S.: I love yellow, that's why I pick that yellow case! It's a little bit off, not exactly the yellow I like to have but it's good enough for me! :)
