My first build, these are all the parts I ordered and I hope that they'll all go together fine but I'd like a lil insight from people that know what they're doing.

This doesnt include the OS, keyboard, dvd/blueray drives etc. I'm just looking to make sure the core components will be good

Welcome to HTG,

The RAM is a little overkill. You would probably be fine with 8GB or 16GB. What do you plan on doing with this computer?

I already bought all the stuff, I prolly shoulda asked before I went ahead and purchased everything but I get an idea in my head and just go with it, <--(Salesman, impulse buyer) but if anything doesn't match I can always return it, neweggs pretty good bout that from what im told. the graphics card is one i've had for a while I just reused it to save money.

Everything looks like it'll work good together. Wait for Rick to come by. He's one of the more knowledgeable ones about building. I know mainly about AMD processors and such.

Got another question I don't know the answer to, I thought my graphics card was the nvidea one listed above but i just got home and looked at it and its a EVGA GeForce GTX 560 and I was looking in the closet and i found another graphics card I forgot I had, its a BFG GeForce GTX 295, looks massive don't know alot about it though but the question is can I run both these graphics cards together? would be awesome if i could!

No, You can run a SLI with this:

EVGA GeForce GTX 260
XFX GeForce GTX 260

You can't run SLI with this:

EVGA GeForce GTX 260
EVGA GeForce GTS 250

SLI is when you run two cards together. They have to be the same type but not the same brand.

I see a WD VelociRaptor WD1000DHTZ for storage but no SSD for the system drive ??

The 295 is a monster of a card, very capable for gaming but very power hungry too. And it won't run DX11.

Well I'll probably just use the EVGA considering im sure I'll need direct x 11 and sell the 295 after all i bought it in thrift store for like $20 so im sure i can sell it for more, I might upgrade to a newer model graphics card I gotta see how this one does after its all built up. The rig is going in my retro game room as a gaming pc, graphic design and media hub so I do want something thats gonna hook up to the 60" 1080 and do a good job.
