I don't know about better, but it's one I wouldn't mind
listening to on a regular basis.

For me. They only play the well known tracks. So you don't really get to hear anything new.
Edit. I don't mean new, but less well known old tracks

I know what you mean. Many of them run the same playlist
over and over. I'm going to look around to see if I can
find one or two that play something other than just hits

How annoying is that?. I did a quick run through of those stations. Know it, know, it, know it, no, know it, no, OH that's interesting, get the name, google it, sites in a tab. Firefox crashes (what was the name of that band? Social something I think. Any ideas please?)

The name of a rock/very slightly punkish band that I think starts with "Social". (definitly an American band)

I've only heard of them. From what I read they are a little more than slightly punkish, though.

They were more hardcore in the early days.

@Bartman. for really good folk/blues/rock check out Fairport Convention & (early) Fleetwood Mac
Edit.
Also
Camel, music inspired from the film "The Snow Goose"
& Tangerine Dreams "Firestarter"
