Music File troubleshooting

Got this message whenever i want to play a particular mp3 file: '' The file you are trying to play has extension(.mp3) that does not match the file format.
How can i solve this problem?

lakande, Welcome to HTG. Perhaps you can give some more info on the problem such as your operating system, the program you are trying to play the file, is this limited to mp3 files only, etc.

If it is only one "Particular" file then it is possible that the file is damaged and/or someone changed to file extension to mp3 when it was actually something else.

Run it thru a conversion program like Format Factory. If that cannot handle it, the file is bricked.
