I want to set the Ms Loopback adapter in Vista32 as my primary network adapter so that Oracle11g database Network Configuration Requirements do not produce this error during installation:
"The install has detected that the primary IP address of the system is DHCP-assigned.
Recommendation: Oracle supports installations on systems with DHCP-assigned IP addresses; However, before you can do this, you must configure the Microsoft LoopBack Adapter to be the primary network adapter on the system. See the Installation Guide for more details on installing the software on systems configured with DHCP."

Please let me know how to solve this without having my other wireless network connection disabled. (Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN adapter)

Thank you in advance
Bill

I´m searching around but it seems to be pretty impossible. Is your WLAN assigned to a static ip address?

No it is assigned to a DHCP server and is dynamically assigned an IP
Would it work if i just disabled the WLAN adapter so that Loopback is the only active one?

I assume it will work then, but I am no expert in Oracle.
