AGgghhhhh, do we need this?

If you don't turn, off the auto update 'feature'.

It allows Web Site developers do do something special, It is not evident unless you go to a web site that takes advantage of the feature. It along with a lot of other Crap is easily ignored.

It says FF is getting silent updates, I think that's a good thing, I stopped using it because I got fed up with the user-controlled updates every five minutes having to restart...too chatty.

I don't do facebook twitter or whatever :):)
Like gedstar... I have ABP and have not seen anything unusual appearing.
I do like the extra clarifying on addons etc that are not compatible, allowing you to not search for compatibilities if you don't use them

I have not noticed a difference in FF17 in terms of the FB integration, but then again I don't use FB so have not been to their site to download the sidebar integration platform.

However I did find in the Config files "social.sidebar.open" was set to "true", I have changed this to "false".

And there was something about the FB integration URL which I removed, now it no longer shows in the config settings.

But, I do not use FB so cannot test if this is a way round it.
