I am trying to move a file approx 4gig from c:(NTFS) to an external hardrive (FAT32). When I try to move or even copy a error mesage pops up and says "The file ______ is too large for the destination file system". Having over 100gigs free on the external, i'm not sure what its refering to. Please help.

Thanks.

It's referring to the fact that you can't store a file over 4 GB in size on the FAT32 file system.

I had heard somewhere that there is a file size limit of 4 Gig for FAT32 drives.

I'm trying to dig up more info on it right now, but this might give you a starting point...
Unfortunately a stack of paperwork was just dropped on my desk, so it might be a bit before I can get back to this. :P
