Motherboard not compatible wth Windows 7?

I have an Asus P5B based machine running on Vista Home Premium 32 Bit and I'm wanting to upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit.
I've read that it is possible to do this upgrade using a custom installation however I have a query regarding my Motherboard.
I installed a RC version of Windows 7 and it worked fine until I decided to uninstall it a few days later.
According to Asus, the P5B is not Windows 7 compatible however I got the RC to work. If the RC worked, can I assume that the final version will also work?

32 bit to 64 bit? I don't think so.

My guess?? is that it should work especially if it ran RC OK.

An issue may be that the drivers may not be signed which is a MUST now.
Check it out. Don't know.

Thanks for the response guys. I'll check it out a bit more.
@kzinti 32 bit to 64 bit is possible as long as your hardware supports 64 bit, which mine does. You just have to do a custom (clean) install rather than an upgrade
