Modifying an existing word 2003 templates (with macros) in 2007

Problem, I have a word template, that has allot of macros built in it, which I’ve successfully added to the 2007 custom toolbar.
However, the business now wants to make changes to the “styles” that are embedded in the template.
I don’t want to loose the functionality of the custom toolbar, I just want to be able to modify some aspects.

How can I do this modification, and keep my existing custom tool bar, as I’m very happy with the toolbar, I just want to modify the styles?

For example – they want the style of the Header, to completely change.
