Missing gadgets in Windows 7

My gadgets suddenly disappeared from my desktop, any ideas to solve this problem please?

Right click on the desktop and click on "Gadgets".

Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately this does not achieve anything apart from opening the Gadgets gallery which does not have any gadgets in it although by using *.gad there are the gadget files on my system.

Does anybody have any further idea's please,further how do I reinstall sidebar.exe.

You could reinstall the Vista sidebar. See here ( http://www.sevenforums.com/tut.....s-7-a.html ) or you reinstall the Win7 sidebar if you can grab it from another Win7 system with the same method.

try this:click start,(in open box) type >side have a look down list you will see''restore desktop gadgets'' might work cant help with side bar....sorry:(

Windows 7 doesn't have a sidebar, so i don't think you can reinstall it anyhow.

yes it does i got one!
(but i did install (win,7) over (vista) it may have been saved in my program files i opened them up, run them and they came back,
