I am having problems printing, using the Microsoft xps Document Writer. When I try to print a document using the writer , Firefox opens up and opens a never ending number of tabs in the tab bar w/o opening the document.I've looked in file assoc. and can't find anything there. If I open the xps viewer I can view the files. I am running VISTA Home Premium,AMD Phenom II x4 processor,w 4GB RAM. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance

Hi
Just wanted to thank you for your help.Your info helped me solve part of the problem, the never ending opening of tabs in FF,so now I've got to figure out why when I click on an XPS document, the XPS Viewer does not load.I get the doc opening in Internet Explorer, after 1st opening Firefox, but at least I can view the document. Any suggestions? Again thanks for the help.
The only Office type programs I have are Open Office ,and for the past couple of weeks I have been trying Kingsoft. The problem pre-dates the install of Kingsoft
I have a Dell laptop and the XPS viewer opens at all times when opening an XPS file, not a browser window.I have checked all the default programs that I can find and they are set to open with XPS viewer.I can't figure it out.I appreciate your help.Thanks.
You can open XPS files with Sumatra PDF. Works great for PDF too.
I appreciate everyone's comments.Thank you.As far as right clicking and Open with it still opens with FF then IE9.Something ,somewhere possibly in the registry is messed up.I have searched in the registry for anything *.xps related and can find nothing.I just installed Sumatra,as suggested, and I still have the same problem.I will try to associate Sumatra w/viewing xps files and see what happens.Stay tuned.Again thanks for your help.
Try my version of Open with. See if it beats Windows,

An alternative to the XPS writer would be doPDF: http://www.dopdf.com/
