Just run scans and norton picked this problem up with my daughters pc how can i fix it, i tried updating the driver but it says best driver is already installed

Hi Vince, try running this command in an elevated Command Prompt,
sfc /scannow

Right click on the Command Prompt shortcut, and select "Run as Administrator"

it says windows resource protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them, details are included in the cbs .log windir\logs\cbs.log. for example c:\windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log but i still have a yellow triangle over the driver, going to reboot

Then I think you need to get a new driver from either your computer manufactures, or the devices, support site.

not sure what it does, i have disabled it without seeing any problems, do you think its possible to uninstall the driver and then reinstall it

If you uninstall it, it will re-install on your next reboot. You can try that.

Shut down the laptop, unplug everything, take battery out, leave for 15 mins..Battery back in restart, and see what happens.
