microsoft 2007 word help

I have two simple questions: 1.How do you post a file name in a word document?
2. How do you use the insert in word when you want to delete words as you type? I'm able to use it in this forum but it will not work in 2007 word.

I'm confused by what you mean about posting a file name?

I think there's a setting in the advanced options called something like " insert key overtype mode"
