Memory Upgrade.

Just wanted an opinion on memory upgrades.

in theory should this laptop memory install in my Advent 7203

it IS DR II just wanted some opinions.

just incase it's needed i'm running vista home premium and currently run on 1 GB

you can also check crucial.com they will scan your pc for ram i got 1gb for $43.99

@mpc, if you bought DDR2 5300, then $44 is a lot. It sells for $30 in the big electronic stores. But maybe you had another kind.

whs it was a set of two 1gb mods giving my pc 2gb and yes it was 2 ddr2 5300. and they brought them to the door so i dont mind paying a little more.

mpc, Understand, I guess it depends how far the next store is. So you paid $88 for the 2GB's. Right?

whs, no i got 1gb ddr2 5300 x 2 1gb per slots so i should have said i got 1gb for about $20 the ram came in a set of 2 mods

No sweat mpc, it was just one little number that needed to be clarified - 2 instead of 1. I watch prices pretty closely, but I do not like to buy on the internet. Only from companies that accept PayPal because I never put anything else on the net. And I am a cash guy too. Hate credit cards.

Annnyway.

i bought some RAM from Crucial.

worked out at about 24-25 pounds for a 2 GB as my laptop can "dual channel ?" i think the term is and i didnt want too odd makes in my computer.
