media driver missing

i have been trying to install windows 8 on my laptop using a pendrive and after i chose the language and click the install button i get this message telling me that media driver missing................... how do i overcome this problem

Did you format the drive that you are installing to? I'm just guessing here.... When I installed Win8 on a very old (about 7 years old)laptop I formatted the drive and installed from the CD. I did the same on a four year old laptop and had no issues. Assuming you have the CD contents on your pendrive I'd expect it to work as the CD did for me.

Please post the Make and Model Number of the Laptop.

If you are attempting to install from a USB 3.0 Port, try a USB 2.0 Port if available on the machine.
