I have a few laptop and PCs linked together. Both laptops are Windows Vista and 2x PCs are Windows XP.
At the moment I have them all linked up to the same wireless network 'dixon', via use of a Linksys Router and a Linksys signal receiver (Usually referred to by Linksys as a 'Speedbooster' or an 'Access Point') plugged into each. They are also all linked to the same WorkGroup (in My Computer), called 'HOMENETWORK'. From this I can click on the 'Network' icon, and gain access to each machine's folders that I've shared onto the HOMENETWORK. Each machine has an easy name: (KARL-LAPTOP, SHAUN-LAPTOP, KARL-PC, FAMILY-PC)
What I'd like to do is make it so that from my laptop (KARL-LAPTOP), I can run programs accross all machines, like I assume the IT technition's PC would virus scan each computer every night in an office or place of work. This is basically what I'm looking for, the ability to run computer security programs on all machines remotely from my own, instead of having to physically go and sit at each PC and run the individual updates/scans. Does anyone know how I could set this up?
