(83 posts)Just spoke to Mark again and he is certainly on the mend!
Mark was much perkier, almost like his old self (he had me tapping F2, F8, F12 and if that failed tap the DEL key).
Our call was interrupted by 'nursey' and it sounds like another bed bath is in the offing.
He is 'plugged in' at the moment but appears to be responding to treatment, but as he said, there is much to go through yet.
Mark spoke with his young lady (Mary) in Canada this morning and she hopes to visit sometime in September and his daughters are due to visit this afternoon.
He thanks everyone for the wishes sent to him and especial thanks to Rick to boot.
Update
Spoke with Mark this afternoon and he is sounding much better and brighter. He is awaiting x-ray results concerning dark patch on lung, but this could be a chest infection.
He may be in for while yet, dependent on results and success of the rejection treatment.
Am sending a bit of kit down to him tomorrow and will include a 'get well card' from all on HTG.
In addition he'd love to receive mail so I post the address should you wish to write to him..

Update
Sorry for delay. Spoke to Mark 5 mins ago. I sent Mark a dongle so he could get connected to the internet but the signal was appalling. However, he has been able to connect to the hospital network for a reasonable charge. So he now has a connection.
He is well, chirpy, but still undergoing treatment.
watch this space, this thread is about to be hi-jacked!
