(Put this in Windows Vista since I'm using Vista and wasn't sure where else to put it, sorry if it's the wrong forum section.)

Hi all, just read the Article on the main site about how to "map a drive letter to a folder the easy way in windows"

Visual Subst works fine for what I want it to do which create a quick access link within 'Computer' to C:\Program Files (P:) and C:\Users\Karl\Videos (V:), so now when moving files via drop 'n drag in Windows Explorer I don't have to navigate through all the sub folders in the Folders pane down the left-hand-side.

So my Computer shows:
SYSTEM (C:)
FILES (D:)
DVD RW DRIVE (E:)
MEDIA (F:) -- my external hardrive
MEDIA 2 (G:) -- my second external hardrive
SYSTEM (P:)
SYSTEM (V:)

I'm not too bothered about it showing the same amount of space remaining as my C:\ drive either. What I need to do is rename each of these drive maps to PROGRAM FILES and VIDEOS respectively, because each are currently named SYSTEM by default and I can't find a way of renaming them.

Nevermind, when drag/dropping files into the mapped SYSTEM (V) folder in Windows Explorer, it treated it as though I was moving a file from my C: drive to my external F: drive.. in that I ended up with the original copy on the desktop and another in Videos. Using them as quick-access links doesn't quite work out. Though if someone doesn't mind not being able to rename the mapped drives, the software appears to work as a treat.
