MAME for Mac OS X - ROMS have distorted display.

Some ROMS work; others open but display a distorted screen. How can this get corrected?

We'll have to wait for Ross to stop by to help you with this, he's our resident OS X guy... I'll bug him when he signs on.

My best guess would be to mess w/ the preferences and display settings until that specific game works. I've never had that problem, but I've only been playing the "boring" old school games like excitebike, super mario brothers and punch out...
